Rick explains “The JARA Speaker Series was postponed because of the pandemic. I had prepared the material on Aylmer history for the JARA session from my research and decided instead to incorporate much it into one of the blogposts. The little known history of Aylmer is in the 2nd blogpost entitled Of Bar Fights, Turnpikes, and Fox Bites – The Early Settlements or L’enivrage, le péage et la rage – Les premiers établissements.”
So instead of attending at his house, grab a cuppa and enjoy his Speakers Series installment in the comfort of your home and visit this site: https://www.capitalchronicles.ca/blog

For those who aren’t aware, the Jubilee area was a part of what was called the Chaudière Farm, the first land ever cleared by Philemon Wright Jr. in the settlement that became Aylmer. The blogpost that is particularly pertinent to Aylmer history is this one: https://fr.capitalchronicles.ca/post/profile-tech-investor-paul-dooby-3

L’article de blog qui est particulièrement pertinent pour l’histoire d’Aylmer est celui-ci :
