“Baby it’s cold outside!”
Presenting the first annual JARALUDE!
10:30 am JANUARY 22 and 29, 2022
Many wonderful souls in our community (thanks to Derrick, Trevor and Claude) have made skating rinks and are generous enough to share. Mother Nature has tried to bury them…but we shall prevail! One JARA member (thanks Jenny) suggested we have a shovelling bee to help out the buried rinks so we can all enjoy skating.
Well, in typical JARA fashion, the idea has ballooned from there. Your JARA executive invites anyone who is interested to meet at Trevor or Claude’s rink at 10:30 for shovelling, with skating for whomever is interested starting at noon. Heck, we may even try to organize a hockey game. Bring your own hot chocolate (or other beverage) and come and join in the fun!
Snowshoers, fort makers, X-Country skiers, walkers, strollers, and bikers are also all welcome.

Les 22 et 29 janvier 2022 dès 10 h 30!
Beaucoup d’âmes merveilleuses dans notre communauté (merci à Derrick, Trevor et Claude) ont fait des patinoires et sont assez généreuses pour les partager. Dame Nature a essayé de les enterrer… mais nous vaincrons ! Une membre de l’ARQJ (merci Jenny) a suggéré que nous organisions une corvée de pelletage pour déneiger ces patinoires pour que nous puissions tous en profiter.
Eh bien, fidèle à l’ADN de l’ARQJ, l’idée a germé. Votre exécutif de l’ARQJ vous invite à nous retrouver sur la patinoire de Trevor ou Claude à 10h30 pour déblayer les patinoires, le tout suivi d’une séance de patinage et/ou partie de hockey à partir de midi. Apportez votre propre chocolat chaud (ou autre boisson) et venez vous amuser!
Les raquetteurs, les bâtisseurs de fort, les skieurs de fond, les marcheurs, les poussettes et les cyclistes sont également les bienvenus.

JARALUDE – Wonderful
Day 1, this Saturday, Jan. 22 at 10:30 – Hopefully I will be there hot chocolate and shovel in hand, although if it is really cold I will be so bundled up I might find it a little difficult shuffling out there … I have faith though. Day 2, Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10:30 – perhaps it will be a wee bit warmer, we will see how it goes.
